When I was 4, I insisted my mom help me plant radishes in the small garden between our house and driveway. Why? Because I loved Fraggle Rock. I don’t think I had ever eaten a radish, but I HAD to plant them because I fully believed that fraggles lived in the knot hole of the wood floor under my dresser.
When I checked my RSS feed reader this afternoon, I came across a new post on radishes at Kateinthekitchen.com. I was reminded of my first gardening memory, and the “dance your cares away” message of Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock.
Unfortunately, tonight, my dancing was too embarrassing for the 2 year-old… so I walked my cares away. Totally worth it, despite the heat/humidity. What’s your go-to? Do you dance your cares away? Cook your cares away? Sing your cares away?
